To me meditation has nothing to do with sitting in a full lotus position, listening to whale birthing music, smelling incense and saying Ohm.

To me meditation is a state of mind, still like a pond with hidden depths. It is relaxed yet aware at the same time

So how should one start to meditate:

The first step to meditation is finding yourself a place away from people, the reason for this is that if you start to meditate with others around you your start to pick up on their emotions and feelings. What this means is that the environment that you are in is charged with different energies and will always average out at the combined values of the your environment, a bit like mixing hot and cold water together you get tepid water.

Next find a place that you can relax in, somewhere that is quiet and free from stress.

Mediation is all about changing your focus ceasing to look outward and starting to look in at yourself. Without passion just as you would observe a picture, seeing that there are hidden depths to yourself. That all your actions are based on core needs and that these core needs can be destructive.

Meditation is the recognition that nothing is permanent and everything can be changed, within yourself and others. That by modifying your behavior, you change everyone around you, and they in turn change everyone around them.

Meditation is patience personified, it is the equivalent of water dripping on a stone, that with the passage of time the soft devours the strong. Constant and continual action always wins the day. Meditation is the Tortoise and the Hare.

Meditation is stillness of thought, yet we can reach this stage of awareness through action too.

My favorite form of meditation is what I call active meditation, examples of this type of meditation can bee seen in the Japanese Tea ceremony.

Another place where you can see active meditation used is in the Sufi tradition, the so called "whirling dervishes".

Active meditation involves performing a task, it can be any task but and the big but is it must focus upon doing  something physical rather than mental. A good example would be say the washing up or house work.

Your first step would be to still your mind don't think how dirty everything is just focus on the action that you are taking at that moment in time so turn on the tap watch how the water flows, squirt the washing up liquid into the bowl see how it reacts with the water, watch the bubbles evolve, pick up the scrubber observe how everything can be a kind of poetry see how your muscles move in your arm feel the strength in your hands when they pick up a plate.

You can see where this is going in effect you become an observer of your actions without criticizing you become the observer and through this process you start to see perfection in all your actions, yet you also start to realize you are not your actions.

That is what truly Meditation is there for, to make you realize that YOU ARE NOT YOUR ACTIONS, That you can change your actions in any way you see fit. That perfection is gained once you distance yourself from the outcome of any action.

Starting to Understand Meditation is literally the start of the Journey.

Trust is a wonderfull tool to have at your disposal, for with trust you can acheive anything.

Trust is wonderfully nieve, knowledge is cynical.

Trust is intuition, knowledge is logical

Trust is always seeing the future with possibilities, knowledge is seing the future based on past experiences and hence limitations.

Trust is why you can acheive something, knowledge is why you cant acheive something.

Trust is optimistic, knowledge is pesamistic

Trust is childlike and expansive, knowledge is old age and limiting.

Trust is heavenly knowledge is earthly

That is why you when you act using trust you always seem to survive, when you act with trust the divine is always on yourside.

Trust is evolution at its best it is always trying things in new ways. With trust everything is possible with no limits.

I would prefer to trust everyone and be let down once or twice, than to never trust anyone

Any type of spiritual practice will lead you too the improvement of your attitude and the improvement of your mind. A spiritual person must focus on the effort to become more compassionate, Kinder, Nicer, more forgiving and more patient both to yourself and others. In fact you cannot have one without the other

We must accept our responsibilities; we have to accept what has happened, that we have done it and not blame others for our situation. We then must make the efforts to get out of the situation.

Firstly we must accept our situation this done using logic.

Secondly, we must let go of attachment, let go of the things that hold you back ignorance, desire, anger, impatience hatred and greed.

The only time that you can start spiritual practice is now, not in the future, not when you are feeling more positive, not when you feel better, to delay only means that you delay that you are one day further away from contentment.

This whole journey is about loving others as you would yourself.

How much do you compromise yourself just for acceptance?
Do you lie for acceptance, do you accept pain for acceptance?
We all go through this process on a day to day basis.
Once you accept yourself, you no longer need acceptance from others and can start to live with freedom

All beings have wisdom to a greater or lesser degree.
Wisdom is the recognition of who, where, and what you are. It is the recognition of your place in the world, your place in society. Wisdom is actually liking yourself, recognising that your weaknesses are nothing more than your strengths, utilised in a negitive direction.
As an example, Sensitivity is a wonderfull attribute to posess because it means that you find it hard nay impossible to hurt anyone, you can empathise with others and you will never knowingly be cruel. Yet Sensitivity can also mean that you have very little self worth, you find it impossible to put your own needs first, always are you at the beck and call of others.
So now you can see that a strength is also a weakness, the two are always in perfect harmony. This is where the ego comes in logic if you like.
Wisdom is recognising that if you have no sense of self you will always be like a kite in the wind without a string being blown whichever way the wind or others choose for you. Sense of self is the string on the kite, it will always follow the direction of the wind but within limits.
So firstly wisdom is recognising that we all need a sense of self or ego the part of us that recognises limits.
Ego is essential, for spiritual growth, your very survival depends upon ego.
Without ego there would be no need for spiritual growth, I mean that to be selfless you must have a sense of self in the first place because you cannot grow if you have no idea of where you are starting from.
All animals passes an inate form of wisdom. They all accept their position. They accept thier limitations. They live in the present the here and now. Thay all accept their nature and never feel guilty.
So secondly wisdom is living life with a simplicity living in the here and now. Doing what you want, living in peace and living in harmony with your surroundings.

A master is someone who has a total understanding of who where and what they are.
They understand that the smallest particle is nothing more than a representation of the divine
They understand that nothing is ever inherintly good or bad it is perfect
They understand that they are a physical manifestation of the divine
They understand that you are a physical manifestation of the divine
They understand that through knowing themselves they understand all others
That by looking at someone they can see where they are because they recognise that state within themselves.
They at once know everything and nothing.
They recognise that life is a game and nothing is of any real importance because it has and all ways shall be perfect
A master is someone who questions everything and nothing
A master is conservitive and radical at the same time
A master is someone who is the wisest person on the planet because they are the fool
The most important word in a masters vocabulary is trust
You can only see a master when you have assended yourself
A master is someone who when you think you know them will show you further depths
To describe a master you must describe the divine for they are a living embodyment of the divine

You and your own sense of self is the only barrier between you and self realisation.
We all know that this barrier is created by the ego.
Yet for most of us this barrier is not an inflated sense of self it is a deflated sense of self.
So my friends inflate your ego pump it up get become egotistical.
Realise that you are perfect, become kind to yourself accept your mistakes as learning opportunities.
But above all do not see yourself as weak and pathetic for then you become a self fulfilling Prophesy

The pathway of unconditional love is the most difficult of all pathways because it requires you to have unconditional love for yourself too.
It requires you to give absolutley unconditionally with no need to change the other and is given without the promise of getting anything in return. That can be an impossible ask if you have insecurities

Pure Logic and pure emotion when combined into a singularity become Divine.
Logic is the oppisite of emotion because emotion is illogical.
Initially seen as a duality in reality we are both of these. No one is without emotion. No one is without logic. We are both our journey is to combine both logic and emotion into one.

Everyone always tells me that love is the answer to everything, yet why is it that in the last 48 hours I have had to deal with self harm, suicide, abuse, domination, violence, and control.

Rubbish I say Love is only the answer if you are so self obsessed that you need someone else to focus on. The answer for people who are empathic and old souls is to develope thier own sense of self it is not thro being selfless.

To develope as a person surely the answer is to look to your weaknesses, that is the area where there is the most potential to grow, so if you are already selfless and lack a sense of self surely that is where you must place the focus and not on unconditional love for others.
